Privacy Policy

Last updated: April 14, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how TabSpace collects, uses, stores, and discloses information when you use our website, applications, browser extension, APIs, checkout flows, and related services (collectively, the "Services").

TabSpace is designed around bookmarks, browser sessions, workspaces, restore history, and related browser context. If you use the product or extension, the information described below may include browsing-state data needed to provide those features.

Information we collect

We collect information you choose to provide, including your name, email address, account details, waitlist responses, contact form submissions, support messages, and any other information you submit to us directly.

When you use TabSpace product features, we may collect workspace data, bookmarks, saved sessions, snapshots, restore history, browser or installation identifiers, device metadata, active workspace selections, and operational metadata needed to run sync, save, restore, security, and troubleshooting features.

We also collect technical and usage data from the Services, including browser type, operating system information, user agent strings, page paths, referrers, timestamps, interaction events, anonymous identifiers, session identifiers, campaign parameters, and similar diagnostic or analytics information.

  • If you use the extension or session features, captured data may include browser windows, tab URLs, tab titles, tab ordering, and related restore metadata.
  • If you make a purchase, payment card processing is handled by Stripe and we receive transaction and checkout details such as plan, amount, currency, payment status, and limited customer billing information associated with the transaction.

How we use information

We use information to provide, maintain, secure, and improve the Services; create and manage accounts; authenticate users and extensions; process payments; operate bookmarks, workspaces, sync, snapshots, and restore features; respond to inquiries; and communicate about access, updates, support, or transactions.

We also use information for internal analytics, product diagnostics, abuse prevention, fraud detection, rate limiting, service monitoring, and business operations. Where required by law, we rely on your consent for analytics, marketing technologies, or other consent-based processing.

Cookies, local storage, and similar technologies

TabSpace uses local storage, session storage, and similar browser technologies to remember privacy choices, maintain attribution context, preserve identifiers needed for analytics integrity, and support product and security functionality. Third-party analytics or advertising providers may also use cookies or similar technologies when enabled.

Our landing site includes a consent experience that lets you manage analytics and marketing preferences. Essential storage may still be used for security, fraud prevention, page functionality, and saving those preferences.

  • Analytics features may use Firebase-hosted event storage and PostHog.
  • If analytics consent is enabled and session replay is active in our configuration, PostHog may collect replay data about landing-site interactions for debugging and product improvement.
  • If marketing consent is enabled, Google, Meta, and LinkedIn tags or related conversion tools may be activated.

How we share information

We may share information with service providers and infrastructure partners that help us operate the Services, such as hosting, analytics, database, communications, payment, alerting, and support providers. These may include Firebase or Firestore, PostHog, Stripe, Mailgun, and Telegram-based alerting workflows, depending on the feature being used.

We may also disclose information when necessary to comply with law, enforce our terms, detect or prevent fraud or security issues, protect rights and property, or as part of a business transaction such as a financing, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets.

  • With marketing consent, we may share limited identifiers, attribution data, and conversion information with Google, Meta, and LinkedIn to measure campaign performance.
  • We do not sell your personal information for money.

Product-specific browsing and session data

If you use TabSpace product or extension functionality, we process the bookmark, workspace, session, snapshot, restore, browser, and device data needed to provide those features. That may include URLs, titles, tab ordering, workspace assignments, saved history, and sync metadata. You are responsible for the content you choose to store, sync, restore, or reopen through the Services.

We do not guarantee that session captures, restores, or sync states are complete, current, error-free, or available on every browser, device, or operating system. Browser vendors and platform rules may limit what data can be read, stored, or restored.

Payments and purchase events

Purchases are processed through Stripe. We do not store full payment card numbers in our own systems. We may receive and store purchase metadata, checkout session identifiers, payment status, pricing details, and limited customer information needed for fulfillment, accounting, support, fraud prevention, and conversion measurement.

When marketing consent exists, we may forward server-side purchase conversion data to advertising partners. Depending on the provider, this may include hashed email identifiers, transaction metadata, and attribution parameters.

Retention

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Services, operate the business, maintain security and records, comply with law, enforce agreements, and resolve disputes. Retention periods may vary depending on the type of data, feature used, legal obligation, and operational need.

If you request deletion, we will take commercially reasonable steps to delete or de-identify applicable information, subject to backup, legal, fraud-prevention, accounting, and technical constraints.

Security

We use commercially reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures intended to protect information, but no storage system, browser environment, extension, transmission method, or internet-connected service is completely secure. You use the Services and submit information at your own risk.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials, devices, and browser environments, and for using appropriate safeguards for any sensitive or business-critical data.

Your choices and rights

You can manage marketing and analytics preferences through our consent controls where available. You may also ask us to access, correct, update, or delete certain personal information by contacting hello@gettabspace.com.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under applicable privacy laws. We may need to verify your request and may keep certain information where required or permitted by law.

International processing

TabSpace and its service providers may process information in countries other than your own. By using the Services, you understand that your information may be transferred to and processed in jurisdictions that may have different data protection rules than your home jurisdiction.

Children's privacy

The Services are not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children in violation of applicable law. If you believe a child provided personal information to us, contact hello@gettabspace.com so we can review and address it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we may update the date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Your continued use of the Services after an update becomes effective means the updated policy will apply to your future use.
